I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child and other
children participating in Pioneer Baseball by following this Code of Conduct:
I will honor the fact that youth sports exist for youth, not adults.
I will do my best to ensure my child participates and arrives on time to all practices and games.
I will do my best to learn the rules of the game and the policies of the league.
I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, umpires and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting event.
I will not interfere with or disrupt any game or practice by any inappropriate vocal or physical behavior. For example, booing, taunting, or yelling derogatory statements such as “Easy Out.”
I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of the athletes.
I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, umpires and spectators with respect.
I will emphasize to my child the importance of practice and skill development over winning games.
I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and I will refrain from their use at all Pioneer Baseball events.
I will refrain from using abusive and profane language toward anyone connected with the game or the organization.
